Braces Prices at Trust Dental Surgery
Braces treatment at our Jurong West and Clementi clinics is led by Dr Felicia Foo, our ortho lead. You will find the full package details on our braces cost in Singapore page — here is the summary:
- Self-ligating metal braces — from $3,950 total, before GST
- Instalment plans — from $180/month, spreading the total fee across your treatment
- Consultation & 3D scan — your personalised treatment plan, timeline and exact price before you commit
All prices are before GST (9%). The total fee depends on the complexity of your case and the expected treatment duration — Dr Felicia confirms your exact price and instalment schedule after your consultation and 3D scan, so there are no surprises later.
What's Included in the Braces Fee?
The fee covers the whole journey from planning to retention, not just the brackets. It includes a 3D intraoral scan to plan your treatment (fully digital — no moulds), the self-ligating metal brackets and archwires, the bracket placement appointment (a single visit of about 1 to 2 hours), all adjustment visits every 4 to 6 weeks throughout treatment, and a retainer set on completion to hold your teeth in their new position.
How the Monthly Instalment Plan Works
Rather than paying the full fee upfront, you can spread the total — from $3,950 before GST — across your treatment period with instalments from $180 per month. That structure is what makes braces workable for students, working adults and families budgeting month to month. Your exact monthly schedule is mapped out as part of the treatment plan consultation in our braces package, so you know the total, the monthly amount and the timeline before treatment begins.
Are Braces Claimable Under Medisave or CHAS?
Generally, no. Braces are classified as elective orthodontic treatment under MOH guidelines, so they are not claimable under Medisave or CHAS. This is exactly why the instalment plan exists — with no subsidy to lean on, spreading the cost monthly keeps treatment accessible. If you hold a CHAS card, it still helps with plenty of other dental care: our CHAS dental subsidy guide explains what it covers.
Braces vs Invisalign: Which Costs More?
At Trust Dental Surgery, self-ligating metal braces are from $3,950 total (instalment plans from $180/month), while Invisalign clear aligners start from $2,400 before GST, with a monthly repayment plan available. The right choice usually comes down to your case rather than the price tag: braces handle moderate to severe crowding and significant bite issues, while Invisalign suits mild to moderate cases where a discreet, removable option is preferred. Our side-by-side guide to Invisalign vs braces compares cost, comfort, treatment time and suitability in detail.
How Long Will I Wear Braces?
Treatment with self-ligating metal braces typically takes 18 to 36 months. Mild crowding may be resolved in around 18 months, while more complex cases involving bite correction can take closer to 36 months. You will come in every 4 to 6 weeks for a quick adjustment visit — all included in the fee. If crooked teeth are your main concern but you are not sure which appliance fits your case, our crooked teeth treatment page walks through every straightening option we offer.
Braces at Any Age
There is no upper age limit for braces — as long as your teeth and gums are healthy, treatment is effective for teenagers and adults alike, and many of our braces patients are working adults. Some adults pair alignment with a broader refresh once their braces come off; our smile makeover page covers what is possible. During treatment itself, daily care matters more than ever — our guides to keeping teeth clean with braces and whitening teeth with braces cover the practical side of living with brackets.
