Teeth Cleaning Prices at Trust Dental Surgery

A routine professional clean at our Jurong West and Clementi clinics is a single appointment that covers both scaling and polishing. You will find the full pricing and CHAS subsidy table on our scaling and polishing in Singapore page — here is the summary:

All prices are before GST (9%). Most patients are in and out within 30 to 45 minutes; if it has been a long time since your last clean and there is heavy tartar build-up, the appointment may run slightly longer.

What's Included in a Professional Teeth Cleaning?

The fee covers the complete cleaning workflow, not just the scaling itself. Your dentist or oral health therapist examines your teeth and gums first, then removes hardened tartar with an ultrasonic scaler, follows up with hand scaling for the tight spots between teeth and along the gumline, and finishes with polishing to smooth the tooth surfaces so plaque has a harder time sticking. You also leave with specific aftercare advice — which areas you are missing when you brush, and whether you would benefit from floss or interdental brushes.

How CHAS Subsidies Lower Your Teeth Cleaning Bill

Both our clinics are CHAS accredited, so the subsidy is applied directly to your bill — just bring your CHAS card and NRIC. Per visit, the subsidies are:

If you are not sure which tier you qualify for, our CHAS dental subsidy guide explains the card types, and our post on maximising your CHAS dental benefits shows how to get the most out of your card across the year.

Teeth Cleaning vs Deep Cleaning: What's the Cost Difference?

Scaling and polishing is a preventive clean for generally healthy gums. If your gums have already developed deep pockets and tartar has spread below the gumline, a routine clean is no longer enough — you may need deep cleaning (root planing), which is done section by section over more visits and priced after a gum assessment. Where gum disease has progressed further, gum treatment may include surgery, which starts from $500 at Trust Dental and is Medisave claimable. Warning signs to watch for are covered in our guide to the signs of gum disease.

Why an $85 Clean Saves You Money

Tartar cannot be brushed off at home — once plaque hardens, only professional instruments can remove it. Left in place, it inflames the gums (gingivitis), which can progress to periodontitis, bone loss and eventually loose teeth. A twice-yearly clean at $85 is a fraction of the cost of treating those later stages, and it also lets your dentist catch small cavities before they need bigger fixes — more on that in our post on preventing cavities and tooth decay.

How Often Should You Get Your Teeth Cleaned?

Every 6 months for most patients. If you have a history of gum disease, smoke, or build up plaque quickly, your dentist may recommend a clean every 3 to 4 months instead. Booking your next clean before you leave the clinic is the easiest way to stay on schedule.
