Denture Prices at Trust Dental Surgery
Dentures remain the most affordable way to replace missing teeth, especially when several teeth are missing at once. At our Jurong West and Clementi clinics, pricing starts from:
- Partial denture (replaces a few missing teeth) — from $450
- Full / complete denture (replaces a whole arch) — from $800 per arch
- Implant-retained overdenture — from a $1,600 top-up after Medisave, on top of the implants that hold it in place
All prices are before GST (9%). The final fee depends on how many teeth are being replaced, the material and framework used, and whether the denture is for the upper or lower arch. You will receive an exact quote after your consultation — before any work begins.
What Affects the Price of a Denture?
Three things move the price most. First, the number of teeth replaced — a partial denture replacing two teeth is simpler than one replacing eight. Second, the material — standard acrylic dentures cost less, while dentures built on a slimmer metal framework cost more but feel less bulky and last longer. Third, the fit challenge — if your gums and jawbone have shrunk significantly after years without teeth, more design work is needed to achieve a stable fit.
Can You Use CHAS or Medisave for Dentures?
CHAS: yes. Dentures are a CHAS-subsidised treatment at Trust Dental Surgery. Pioneer Generation cardholders receive up to $418.50 off complete dentures and up to $395.50 off complex partial dentures. Other CHAS tiers also enjoy subsidies — bring your card to your consultation and we will apply the maximum you are eligible for. See our CHAS dental subsidy guide for the full breakdown.
Medisave: no — with one important exception. Medisave covers surgical procedures only, so a conventional denture cannot be paid from your Medisave account. However, dental implants are Medisave claimable up to $1,950 per implant. That is why an implant-retained denture can end up easier on your cash flow than the sticker price suggests: the implant portion is largely paid from Medisave, leaving a top-up from $1,600 for the denture itself.
Dentures vs Implants vs Bridges
Dentures have the lowest upfront cost, but they are removable, need relining as your gums change, and do not stop jawbone shrinkage. A dental implant costs more upfront — from $2,449 for an Osstem implant ($499 after Medisave) or $3,449 for a Straumann implant ($1,499 after Medisave) — but it is fixed, preserves the bone, and does not rely on neighbouring teeth. Our comparison of implants vs bridges vs dentures walks through the trade-offs in detail, and what happens when you leave a missing tooth alone explains why doing nothing is usually the costliest option of all.
The Steadier Option: Implant-Retained Dentures
The most common complaint we hear about lower dentures is that they float and shift when eating. An implant-retained overdenture solves this: two implants are placed in the jaw, and the denture clips onto them — no adhesive, no rocking. Because the implants are Medisave claimable, the cash top-up for the denture starts from $1,600. For patients missing an entire arch who want a fixed (non-removable) solution, All-on-4 implants are the step up, from $18,800 per arch after Medisave.
Getting Dentures at Trust Dental Surgery: What to Expect
Your dentist first checks the health of your gums and remaining teeth — a denture fitted over untreated gum disease will not fit well for long. We then take a 3D scan of your mouth (no goopy trays), design the denture, and fit it once fabricated. Expect one or two adjustment visits in the first weeks as your mouth adapts; these are part of the process, not a sign something is wrong.
With good care, a denture typically lasts 5 to 8 years. Your gums and jawbone slowly change shape over time, so the fit should be reviewed at your regular check-ups and the denture relined or remade when it loosens.
